Directors

Deborah Wachspress – Executive Director, the founding director of the Rochester Women’s Community Chorus, has been at its helm since 1985. She received her Bachelor's in Music Education from SUNY Potsdam in 1979, M.S.Ed from SUNY Geneseo in 1984, C.A.S., S.A.S. in Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport in 1995. She has been employed by the Rochester City School District since 1980 as a music teacher. She is passionate about giving music to the community.

Kristy Houston – Music Director has been singing with the RWCC since moving to the Rochester area in 2006. She has a B.Mus.Ed. from the University of Michigan-Flint and a M.Mus.Ed. from Indiana University. She has been teaching band, choir, and general music for the last fifteen years, and is currently the band director at The Harley School.
